The MBO Database
GO FOR THE GOAL™
is used to track goals and
objectives with due dates by creating a MBO (Management by
Objective) database. Many such databases can be created by assigning
different names for each MBO file. Once a file name is assigned to a
MBO file the database is created by adding MBO# , stating Goals and
Objectives and assigning from 1 to 4 persons or groups of people
responsible for each as well as Due Dates.
 | The MBO database can be queried with multiple search
parameters (for example: Due Date and Responsibility). |
| The user can call up MBOs Today each day to view the day's
MBOs which need to be accomplished. |
| A Quick Date feature allows for fast updating of Due Dates
with an onboard perpetual calendar for easy date transfer. |
| A Responsibility Editor allowing for up to 20 Responsibilities
to be entered and transferred to the MBO edit screen for ease of
entering Responsibilities. |
Browser Screen
| A Browser Screen provides exceptional viewing of the entire MBO
database at a glance. Page Up and Page Down, Home and End keys allow
for easy maneuvering throughout the MBO Database. |
Reports
| After the MBO database is created reports can be generated
sorted by Due Date, MBO#, All Responsibilities or an Individual
Responsibility. These reports are distributed to personnel
allowing them to see at a glance what objectives they are
responsible for and on which date they are to be accomplished. |
Booklet
| A booklet is also produced with a user edited cover and
preface, an automatically generated table of contents and all of
the MBOs sorted by Due Date. |
| This booklet can be printed on 8.5" x 11" paper or
saved to a disk text file which can be exported to a word
processor or desk-top publishing program. The Cover or Preface
can be sent to the printer separately. |
Utilities
| An easy to use Printer Setup for HP or compatible Laser or
Desk Jet or IBM or compatible dot-matrix printers or to an
export disk text file. |
| A Title Setup for MBO report titles and a View Text File
option which allows text files to be viewed before exporting. |
| A fast and effective Reindex database utility keeps the MBO
databases running smoothly with a keystroke command. |
